1 Chronicles

The Chronicles are one book in the Hebrew canon and concluded the Old Testament.  The Chronicles open with the first Adam and lead us to the last Adam.  It deals primarily with the kingdom of Judah because Christ was to be of the seed of David.  The books of the Kings were written before the captivity of Judah and from a prophet’s point of view.  The Chronicles were written after the captivity (1 Chron 6:15) and from a priest’s point of view.  The Chronicles tell the history of the kings from God’s perspective (cf. 1 Sam 31; 1 Chron 10:13-14).
